WHO ARE YOU?
Hi I’m Matthew Sergison-Main, but prefer to go by my nickname, ‘Serge’. I have been consistently drawing and developing my creative skills since I was a child. I studied Fine Art at Bath Spa University which then developed into a graphic design study, and later a career.
I now have over twenty years experience as a creative and designer working in busy studios. I have as a team leader as well as a freelancer. I have a broad array of skills in graphic design, and am in my element in originating concepts as well as executing them with precision in design applications.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
My current position is working as a Senior Creative / Art Director / Video Editor at Oliver Agency London. In this role I have produced videos and animations for government organisations, as well as producing standard operating procedures for my studio. I have also acted an art director in this capacity maintaining consistency and ensuring the highest level of work is produced by my colleagues.
In my freetime i enjoy developing my creative and art skills, and keeping up with the latest creative technologies.

Senior Video Production Editor

I manage comprehensive video and animation production, specializing in social media content creation. My expertise spans artwork asset creation and sound editing. Recently, I pioneered the integration of AI into production workflows, earning recognition from Oliver Agency for this innovative approach. I established standard operating procedures across the production department to enhance quality and efficiency.
My production process includes storyboard creation from initial scripts, asset development through traditional illustration, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I execute complete video editing workflows in After Effects, managing offline and online editing, asset integration, color grading, sound balancing, and platform-optimized exports.
Additional responsibilities include leading workshops on digital illustration and creative ideation, training colleagues in production techniques, and handling classified documents as a government agency certified professional.

Duties: Creative lead, illustration and animation, voice over
Employed to help guide and manage the creatives in the team to help progress their abilities to produce exceptional work for Popcorn. I also enhanced commercial products with voice over work, illustration, graphic design and animation. Working as the Creative Lead I would produce graphic design templates and approaches that other designers could follow and reproduce to create a variety of assets. I also acted in a QA capacity to ensure that the principles laid out had been followed and good graphic design principles had been applied.

I used my design skills and knowledge of the Adobe creative suite, illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop to produce graphics, print runs and web designs for a variety of clients.
The Chinese Room – artwork for games: BAFTA winning 'Everybody's Gone to the Rapture' I produced 2D artwork for the intro sequence, for the main game menu, a desktop theme for the PS4 and in game artwork. For ’Amnesia a Machine For Pigs'. I produced loading screen artwork as well as the game map.
